What style of Medieval dress is this called?

Hey,

I'm writing a story that takes place in medieval times, and I need to know what these two dress styles are called. And if you don't know, then maybe you could give me some suggestions on how I should describe these dresses. I'm stumped, lol.

Here's one dress:

Anyway, anyone who answers, thanks in advance.

PS, please no smart remarks (for example ';Those dresses are so ugly,'; or ';That's so stupid...'; ect. ect.) lol. Sorry just don't really want to put up with crap today, lol. What style of Medieval dress is this called?
To be honest, I would call the style ';fantasy medieval';.

The first one is similar to a bliaut, a 12th century gown that is known for large ';angel'; sleeves and tightly laced torso.

The second appears to be an attempt at a 14th kirtle or cote (also called a cotehardie but it is a misnomer as a cotehardie is actually a men's garment). What style of Medieval dress is this called?
The links don't work for the pics.

Go to the library and look them up. They'll definitely have the titles - don't know about any websites.
Sorry, the links didn't work. Perhaps your local SCA chapter could be of help. An online search for SCA may also help, but for whatever reason, I can't get it to come up this afternoon.

While not Medieval in the strictest sense, many Renaissance Faire sites have very informative costume pages which may also be of value.( RenaissancePleasureFaire.com)

I was typing in the wrong site, it's SCA.org, they should be helpful.

Best of luck!
