I am wearing a strapless, 50s style prom dress (it's yellow) to prom. How should I wear my hair?

I'm unsure if that will work well with a strapless dress...

for hair, the rule is with a strapless wear your hair down

for this play up the 50s and think marilyn monroe!

use a volumzing product, then curl, then set with hairspray[not to much!]
