What is the best thing to do when your girlfriend criticizes another woman's dress style?

I was with my girl at the movie theater and when she saw this woman walk in she said something like ';Oh that's really classy'; (I don't remember her exact words) and then I looked (briefly). Then my girl and another female friend who was with us were sitting there looking at this woman and saying stuff like ';that's not right';. I couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong with the way she was dressed... I'm guessing it was that her dress was a bit too short... but honestly she could have been naked and she would not have stolen my attention away from my girl. I asked ';What's wrong with how she's dressed?'; and they both just kind of looked at me and said nothing.

I don't think anything bad came out of the situation, but could someone give me some insight here? Is there something I could have said/done better?What is the best thing to do when your girlfriend criticizes another woman's dress style?
Just smile, nod your head, and hope it doesn't kill you. -What is the best thing to do when your girlfriend criticizes another woman's dress style?
Every girl is going to do that.
in those situations you pretty much have to stay quite. and if they ask for your opinion just agree with them. its something silly. nothing worth having a disagreement over :)
Keep your mouth shut and stay out of that conversation.
Just agree, haha.
In other words she's saying'; Would you look at that! That's got to attract my boyfriends attention....Damn it! I hate her, she's so much better than me';

You didn't do or say anything wrong. Kudos for you for still being with this insecure little girl!
The best thing for you is to say nothing, it's a female thing. Just say nothing.
Not really, it's just what girls do. We look at each other and yes, God help us, sometimes we pick each other apart.

Fashion faux pas are fertile sources of tongue-wagging.

You didn't do anything wrong, you just didn't know what was going on. No harm done.

Hope that helps!
if they don't ask you anything, don't answer. just stare straight ahead.

if they do talk to you directly just agree.

or say something like oh i totally hadn't even noticed her.
