I'm getting married in October, and have started looking at dresses... That being said, I am overweight and certainly won't be able to shed the weight by then-
I have a 40DD bra size, and essentially the rest of my body is proportionate with that- I suppose the one part of my body that is the main problem area is my stomach area, which pooches out way too much. Any ideas on a flattering style? I'm 5'7 and weigh about 200. (No fat bashing, please- I know I need to lose weight. :-) ) I am hoping for long sleeves and a high collar, but have no idea how the body of the dress should be designed. Thanks for any suggestions! What is a flattering wedding dress style for a ';plump'; bride?
If you go to a store that specializes in wedding gowns they can help you pick out gowns for your size and shape. At 5'7 i think you would have some great choices regardless of the 200 lbs......check davidsbridal.com..they have a few dresses that have like a long sleeve very sheer cover/jacket/thingy that might work. the #5 dress the other poster shows from Davids bridal could work b/c of the scarf and the slight pleating at the front of the dress in the stomach area and bust. Good luckWhat is a flattering wedding dress style for a ';plump'; bride?

congratulations!
A-Line! Stay away from ball gowns. A line dresses look good on every body type!
Good luck %26amp; Congrats!
hmm well honestly I wouldn't really suggest the long sleeves because that could actually put on a little more weight i would try a strapless gown actually it's one of the most flattering styles for any body type and usually those styles don't hug your stomach area and it won't put so much emphasis on your flaws. =) hope i helped
